Guarantee My Personal Assurance

  • Lifetime Guarantee
All original works may be returned free of charge without reason any time provided the works are in original condition.

    • Why?

    • Buying Fine Art is a very personal act. Many people have no problems spending huge sums on cars and the like, but when it comes to Fine Art, things may be different.

With my unconditional lifetime guarantee, I assure you that I will only offer original Fine Art that I am personally convinced of. I would buy any of the works offered myself, if I had rooms enough to show and live with them.

In fact, I would like to buy many of my own sold works back if only I could. But unfortunately for me, the owners won't part at any price. Which proves that they made a good investment in the first place.

In my experience, Fine Art is one of the most precious goods you can acquire. I want to make it extremely easy for you to experience the delight and joy Fine Art can deliver. Any fear of financial loss should be dealt with beforehand. What could be a more blatant statement than a Lifetime Guarantee?

  • 100% 3Month Money Back Guarantee
The full price will be refunded within 3 months of purchase date.

    • Why?

    • 3 months are plenty of time to live with a work of art and get acquainted to it. Original Fine Art takes time to accommodate. Think of great music. You probably had to listen often to fully appreciate it, but wasn't it worth the time?

If you live for 3 months with any work of art offered here, you will know for sure if you like to spend the rest of your life with it or not. In order to ease your buying decision and invite you into that great experience of living with high quality Fine Art, I guarantee to refund the full price if you return your acquisition within 3 months from purchase date.

  • 80% Lifetime Money Back Guarantee
A full 80% of the price will be refunded any time thereafter.

    • Why?

    • If you decide to return the work of art after the period of 3 months, I will refund 80% of the price you paid. I would like to refund 100%, but I have to protect my affiliates.

In business, expenses for marketing and advertising have to be accounted for. Instead of spending money beforehand, I chose the proven model of affiliation.

The affiliates promote my business and earn 15% commission for actual sales. I have a so called two-tier model. An affiliate can recruit another affiliate and earn 5% on sales from them.

That makes 20%, and I will not refund these after the 3 month period. The affiliate has to wait 3 months for the commission, and that's enough.

  • Return Policy
I am convinced that you will appreciate your work of art and never even think of returning it. But if you do, no questions are asked.

    • Why?

    • This is my experience. Fine Art is a very personal possession, and people rarely sell valuable things representing their personality in such a high degree. You can sell your car, but you can't sell your art.

Remember the famous game: What do you take with you to a lonely island? You would think of books, music, Fine Art. People play this game to get to know each other.

What would you try to rescue from a burning house? Chances are you would rescue your art. It cannot be replaced. You may enjoy many things in your life. Fine Art is here to stay. If you return your work of art, you will deeply regret it, and we will accept it without embarrassing questions.

  • Our Goal
Your satisfaction is our main goal.

    • Why?

    • The answer is easy. You want to enhance your life with Fine Art. We want to sell Fine Art. If you are fully satisfied, you will talk about it. Your friends will feel how comfortable you are with your acquisition. They will have a look at Art Quarter and will eventually become customers, too. It's as easy as that. Simply sound business principles.

Prices And Shipment No Additional Costs, Wherever You Live On This Wide World

  • Works are delivered free of charge.

    • Why?

    • Whenever I order on the internet, having made up my mind on the price, and people turn up with additional costs, I am not only upset. Sometimes I have to skip the whole process because costs for shipping and handling and tax can make the whole purchase ridiculous.

That's why I decided to offer complete prices to begin with. You would have to care for these extra costs anyway. You can't have the product without these costs. Of course, shipping costs vary depending on localities.

This doesn't make things easier. I'd hate to annoy you with long tables and rules to have you figure out the surcharge in your case. Chances are you'd react like me and cancel the order. That's why I have only one price. Keep it simple.

  • Prices include taxes and handling no matter where on earth you live.

    • Why?

    • One of the fascinating facets of the internet is the accessability from virtually any place on earth. Mankind is "united" by technique. Unfortunately, political structures remain unchanged. Therefore, I expect to experience some really interesting obstacles shipping Fine Art worldwide.

But I do really hope that this will be my problem and not yours. I talked to somebody shipping machines worldwide as a profession. He told me that it's no problem at all to ship anything from here to any airport on earth. The next step however, getting this thing out of the airport to your home, may turn out to be a major obstacle. I hope for your support in this case. Whatever may be, it should not affect the price.

Offer Unique Works Are Different

  • Fine Art items are unique or limited.

    • Why?

    • Frankly, I don't know. We live in industrial times, but Fine Art is still produced like in pre manufacturing times. Painters work like any medieval master, producing one painting after the other.

I believe there is no other way to produce a painting. After all, any product has to be worked out as a hand made prototype first. There is nothing wrong to it. But usually the prototype is not meant to be the end product, it is not even for sale.

The fact that lithographs and serigraphs, which, unlike etchings, do not suffer from the printing process, are strictly limited, shows, that short supply is wanted for in the art market.

Nobody can change the world. Things being as they are, they signal that there is a demand for unique works of art, and if a process such as printing or casting makes multiples copies possible, then artificial limitation keeps a sense of uniqueness.

  • Due to traffic conditions, we cannot guarantee that offered works are still available. We will update our offers as soon as possible.

    • Why?

    • Email is fast, but we all live in different time zones. Although extremely improbable, you might place an order for a unique work which has been sold. We will strive to minimize such irritation by updating our offers immediately.

Certificate You (And Your Heirs) Will Always Know What You Acquired

  • The works presented are original works of art.

    • Why?

    • I will present original works of art only. Reproductions are not declared as works of art. Instead, they are named as what they are, replicas or posters, and priced accordingly.

  • They are accompanied by a certificate of the artist containing the data shown in the prospect.

    • Why?

    • I think this is a good idea. If you buy a horse or a dog, you will get a certificate. Why not introduce this with a work of art?

  • The artist retains the right of reproduction unless ruled otherwise.

    • Why?

    • Reproduction rights are an important issue in our modern world. It is good style to rule this question. Usually these remain with the artist.

Colors Technical Questions Must Be Discussed

  • Colors represented on the internet depend on many factors - as a rule, the original colors may be quite different.

    • Why?

    • Any reproduction falls short of the original. We live in times of reproduction, are used to reproductions, usually don't think about the difference between original and reproduction.

Due to reproduction techniques, we are able to enjoy great works of art at all times, don't even think about it. We tend to take the reproduction for the original. This is a big mistake. You will see very easily the difference between two reproductions, if you look up the reproduction of any famous work of art in two different books.

Fortunately, the human eye compensates for irregularities of all kind, and color distortions are compensated for very well. Most color monitors don't excel showing colors, also there are numerous different systems, so you can easily see that you can't expect too much from a reproduction on a computer monitor.

Computer monitors produce the image emitting light, whereas an original is seen by light reflected from the surface. Depending on the light of day, your monitor shows different colors. You can change the settings of your monitor, too.

An original is made from a large number of different pigments which cannot be interchanged, a poster is made with a very limited number of pigments only.

If consider the reproduction process, you see that there are numerous sources of distortion. Tests in magazines show the differences cameras and films produce. Next are the differences scanners produce. Image processing software can correct some blatant distortions to a certain degree.

All these distortions sum up to produce an image that gives some idea of the original on your monitor, small as it is. The considerations show that it is next to impossible to really reproduce the original.

Payment Finally, You Will Have To Part From Your Money

  • There are several ways of actual payment.

    • Why?

    • Simply because it seems appropriate. Choose your preferred method of payment.

  • Credit Cards are preferred due to simplicity and low cost.

    • Why?

    • Money transfer charges between countries can be quite high. Money travels with high speed on international data lines, but the actual payment may take days or weeks.

  • COD, checks or money transfer may be chosen, too.

    • Why?

    • If you haven't got a credit card or can't use it for some reason, you may choose a payment method of your choice.

  • We will negotiate proceedings as soon as your order arrives.

    • Why?

    • We got plenty of time to check which way to go. The internet produces new problems, but we will most probably be safe. I will ship actual goods, so I don't care about fraud from your side. You will make sure I am trustworthy, too. So we don't have to care about shopping carts or online credit card processing. Keep it simple and personal.

Framing If You Need More Service

  • Prices are without frames.

    • Why?

    • There are numerous ways to frame a work of art. Actually framing is an art of its own. To choose the perfect frame, the framer best knows the environment the framed work will appear in.

  • Paintings usually have simple frames mainly for protection.

    • Why?

    • Drawings and prints can easily be stored and shipped without frames. Paintings are often framed for storage protection. These simple frames are used for showing modern paintings quite frequently, as can be seen in any museum of Modern Art. Some kind of Modern Art is traditionally presented without any frames at all.

At art fairs, you can see Modern Art often framed with ancient frames to enhance the value of the painting. Antique renaissance style frames are very popular for Picassos, for example.

  • Decorative frames may be ordered at additional cost, too.

    • Why?

    • Framing is subject to fashion, too. So there are no general rules to framing. If you like, I will take care of framing. We will discuss several ideas and appoint a framer with the task. All you have to do then is unpack, hammer a nail into your wall and hang the picture. Our guarantee does not include frames, however, as they are manufactured personally for you.
