Danny Conant has participated in workshops with Ralph Gibson, Olivia Parker, Eikoh Hosoe, Elizabeth Opalenik, Edna Bulloch, and Greg Gorman. Among her many awards is the 1994 Urquart Award, and a First Place, Photography in the All Media Show in '93, both sponsored by The Art League at the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, Va. |
Her specialty is nudes, both in
black and white and color. She was an early innovator in Polaroid transfer
processes, experimenting with a startling variety of media, including art
paper and glass.
Her work hangs in private collections on both coasts, and has been exhibited in juried shows in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Currently, she is the featured visual artist at the 1997 Contemporary American Theater Festival in shepherdstown, West Virginia |
